Choreography Three Korean choreographers selected through open-call

To encourage new work by Korea’s talented contemporary choreographers who are ready to explore new directions, will start with a competition to select three choreographers. The competition will evaluate not new works, but existing works that could be refined and expanded for the performance. Focusing on ‘Why? What? How?’ The performance can be transformed; the works will be evaluated first through written application and interviews, and then judged in showcase performances. Three choreographers or three dance companies will be chosen, and the three works will receive the support of KNCDC’s stable production system for the artists to explore new ways and upscale the quality of their final performances. Furthermore, through KNCDC’s domestic and international networks the chosen choreographers will be given opportunities to meet wider audience with their works.
